Opus Stone

My client has always loved a clean contemporary design.  Our goal was to balance cutting edge with comfort and warm livability. We wanted continuity and a neutral palette for the flooring and Mystery White provided exactly what we seeking.  It was so exquisite we decided to use it for the master bathroom floor to ceiling walls, which provided us with an elegant seamless transition.   Shades of purple from deep violet to soft lilac are my client's favorite colors so it was important to cultivate these shades into the open living space. In the kitchen, the brilliance of the pure white and soft mink glass cabinets was perfectly embellished with the Blue Quartz exotic polished precious stone countertops. It added a touch of organic warmth while incorporating the beautiful shades of amethyst.

On the living room wall unit, we used Azul boule polished marble, this was an important piece to get just right. From a design perspective the material needed to cohesively bring together the kitchen, dining and living room but remain subtle, I did not want it to overpower the room.  The mellow touches of lavenders and diffused whites gave it just the right amount of color and sophistication.

The one product my client was determined to use was the Natural Pearl 3D mosaic shell, she fell in love with it on site. We originally were planning on using it on the living room ceiling but the beauty and the softness of the Mother of Pearl iridescence lent itself to the soft influences of a bedroom. Its alluring shades of deep golds and soft pinks was a delightful way to bring the beauty of the ocean into the home.

Powder rooms should be stunningly dynamic and the striking contrast of the black and white Preva Polished marble was a perfect choice. It created the “wow” factor we were looking for and coordinated perfectly with the Neve polished vanity countertop and brushed chrome fixtures.   The guest bathroom aka “his” bathroom needed to be clean and contemporary but not austere. We used Paradiso White polished, which despite the name is actually an unmistakably gorgeous dimensional grey marble. We coordinated it with polished chrome fixtures and glossy textured fog grey cabinetry, stunning.
